The current group policy sets the Secure_Print print queue as default for all users/computers/laptops.
If you have a printer in your classroom or office and would like to set that as your default; follow these steps.
Using the Search tool, look for Control Panel and open this by clicking on the icon:
If you have never accessed Control Panel on your device before, the chances it will open in Category view:
You can click on Category in the top right corner and change this to small or large icons (the choice is yours).
Once the screen has refreshed. click on Devices and Printers:
Under the Printers section, the printer in your classroom/office should be listed it will start with LSFPRT (for example LSFPRT011) (if it's not raise a ticket and advise of the printer name and computer name):
Right-click on the desired printer to show the menu and then left-click on Set as default printer:
Click ok to any message that might appear.
Once a printer has been set as default, there will be a green tick under it:
Close any applications that you need to print from and then re-open.
Please note that these steps will need to be repeated if your machine is ever rebuilt or replaced.
